Today I accidentely dropped Martha's dinner in the community tank.
A certain Loach thought it was christmas and wasted no time at all in taking advantage!

he was soon joined by an opportunistic bristlenose and a curious L200...

Looks like martha will have to make alternative dinner plans tonight!

Wow I'm impressed on how clean your sand is. How often do you clean it, I can never seem to keep mine as clean as yours there is always little pieces of poopie on the sand. NICE PICS BTW

So martha actually demolishes that exoskeleton? Wow, i have a new appreciation for martha and other puffers! Some pics of her eating the claw would be interesting Sir M!

lol, I bet they got frustrated not being able to get the meaty goodness inside, should of let Martha crack it open for them

Erm... never...
That tank contains a lot of fish that spend all their time digging, pluss there's a strong current in there to keep the plecs happy so the sand stays clean and turned all by itself.

She can manage to crack open the legs of an edible crab, but she requires a little help with the claws.
A couple of whacks with a toffee hammer to get it started does the trick, then she has no problems finishing it off.
She doesn't get crab very often because it's expensive, but I'll try to remember to film it next time.
