I've had my QT set up for a few days, 60ltr but only just over half filled. I have mature media in a sponge filter and stats are looking good.

I'm getting 3 apistos from someone tomorrow. who wants rid.

Good luck Beth I hope it works out for you this time. Don't rush them in quarentine either, leave them a month to be safe

wouldn't you be better of fishless cycling it first? the bacteria will already be at a stretch so letting them mature a bit will certainly help. Unless you've done this already but 3 days seems a bit on the short side

i've lit taken the media straight from a cycled sponge filter and it into mine, not brand new media, not media from my tank, gone with a friends. This was the media that was supposed to be used in my fluval 3 plus. Seen the stats for the last 2 weeks on it and it's totally fine, so fingers crossed!

They aren't here yet, everything has been tested and we're looking good to go

Well, they are here, the 2 females are eeney weeeney and the male, looks to be fully grown but the redding on him, wow.

They are all hiding at the moment, i'll take pics later

They seemed to have settled in a bit more but they are still shy. I don't think i'll put them into the 125ltr, until the females are bigger (about 1.5cm in size).

They don't seem to be comfy enough to eat yet, as i am going out all day today, i have left them a bit of algae wafer, just in case they do want a little munch. I put 3 bloodworms in yesterday, 2 have gone, so maybe they have eaten a little.

Carefull with leaving food in, you don't want it to fowl the water. It does sound like your doing everything right currently

no probs with food, come home and it's been gobbled up

day 3:

all is looking well, they are becoming more active and very inquisitive i was sitting on the sofa, looked round at their tank and all 3 apistos slowly rose up from the edge of the tank (just their heads) and watched me.........well, until i got up and they scampered
