Will This Stocking Work?

The ph is liquid which is more accurate. Hardness is strip, so water must be harder. So, how about 1m 3f yellow lab 1m 3f acei 1m 3f rusty 1m 5f soccoli, how does that sound?

I don't think b0b95 is over stocking.
In my 55 gal I had between 35 - 40 fish depending on what had bred etc. Granted, most were the smaller species. But it worked nicely.
I have had a few 100 fish in a tank that size too :)

I say potentially overstocking because we don't know the tank dimensions yet. Ok, assuming there are no particularly nasty individuals there, it might work and of course, it is always best to crowd with African Rift Lake cichlids to reduce individual aggression. Maybe it would be fairer to say that the large, more aggressive Acei might not go well with the more peaceful/smaller fish? The Acei do need quite a bit of space and so do the Rusties.

Maybe the best thing to do is start stocking with the most peaceful, leaving the most aggressive till last and see how it goes? I have seen quite extreme stocking work just because of the fishs' temperament, and the suggested is not something I would refer to as extreme. And of course, having so many females per male does give better chances of success.

I'd be happier to try this myself, maybe even try 2m 5f if you mean saulosi, and not socolofi. I would recommend stocking in the following order:
1. Labs
2. Rusty
3. Saulosi/Socolofi
4. Acei

okay, i have the labs, with another tankmate, a frontosa. ( the LFS talked me into this). I know mabye it was a bad idea. anyways, should i return the frontosa, or what should i do. Im sorry for screwing up!

Please do take the Frontosa back! They grow way too big for your tank (12+ inches) and you can't keep them with any of the other fish you named. I dream of keeping them one day, but I do not expect to be able to have a tank big enough anytime soon.

okay, i will. sorry about that distraction.
does this work

1m 3f yellow lab
1m 3f acei
1m 3f rusty
1m 3f saulosi

Yes, I think it should. As I said, you should be able to get away with 2m 5f saulosi and the labs should start breeding in the next few weeks if they are old enough.

So, would be nice to see some photos/vids of the tank and the new guys :)

It will be awhile before they breed, because they are young and unsexed, I have 3 and will get 5 more so I get the desired resulat. Video will be up sometime in the period of a month or 2
