Will Sparkling Gourami's Eat Snails/snail Eggs?

what it say's above really, i know my opaline gourami's i used to have loved them, but with the sparkling gourami's being considerably smaller i doubt they'd manage any big snails, but would they still eat the eggs and stuff like that. got a minor problem with ramshorns in the tank that they are in. not loads of them but a few more than i'd like.
