Will Fry Eat A Dead Tankmate?

I seem to have lost one of my larger fry He is about 6 weeks old...literally no sign of him. Could his or her tankmates have polished him or her off? There are two others the same age and about 6 which are only a few weeks. I know bigger fish do this but I just can't fathom how they would have managed this in less than 24 hours being so small!

Sometimes, I see a fry floating to the bottom of the tank. I never see them again. It could be that the fry are eating them, but are they in a tank? It could just be in between the gravel. Hope this helps!

The other fry along with any snails or similar things in the tank will eat a dead fry.
