i jhave my 7-g gallon tank i hust got today and i have a sand subsrate and lotso rock with a couple clay pots and a fake plant and driftwood when the snow melts and i was wondering if i can keep

i want 4 firemouths but if 2 is better just say so

maybe some electric yellow and blue and some odds and ends

will this work mainly im concerned with the firemouths

by electric yellows im guessing you are referring to labs??
firemouthes are new world fish and labs are african.
It is not recommended to mix the two types. To put it simple the 2 types vary in diet, H2o chemisrty and their aggression are very different and its not a good idea for a beginner to mix them.

My advice is to stick with the new world cichlids for now..
