i have been keeping livebearers for 5 years trying to breed them. at the mo i have endlers in my tank along with a shoal of neons and 2 red tailed yellow gouramis along with a few plants. what am i doing wrong i have the right ratios and every thing

Livebearers breed like rabbits are they all males.
What your tank ph?

they might be but the fry might be getting eaten by the rest also whats your stats

The only fish you keep that will breed in your ph is the livebeares.
If you do have some females the fish could be eating all the young.

Rare to have a nitrate reading of 0, what your tap nitrate reading.

pretty much what I was thinking. Gouramis and tetras will eat livebearer fry.
Have lots of floating plants in the tank. Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides) is the best but millfoil, ambulia and anything else that floats is fine.

Some fish like a slight increase in tempurature 'to get in the mood' and ive also heard alot of greenery/plants etc near the top of the tank will give the fry a fighting chance to survive as they are 'covered'. just a few things i have heard, hope it is of some use.
