Why Won't My Vallis Grow?

Ill have a look and see what takes my fancy, already got Bacopa, Ludwigia and Rotala in there so I'll have to find something a little different

Ah yeah forgot that, I have a few pieces in there next to the Vallis, then I also have Indian fern and Water Sprite stuff (which needed major pruning recently  )

Hmm may get a Sword or Echinodorus for that corner, I have a really broad leafed anubias already, not sure if its heterophylla though, Last Trading Post said it was Barteri Broadleaf but it doesn't the leaves look too narrow if you get what I mean

Hmm may look into that then what sort of requirements do they need?

I just did a search for some Echinodorus and it seems LTP sold me those as Anubias  They are exactly the same as what I have tied to my bogwood, good job I like how they look huh

I'll have to keep an eye out for some, I'm due an LFS run soon for more Harlequins anyways :shifty:

No worries mate. Some MA's are more specialised in plants... Others are pants and like to sell Dracaena.

The one nearby has usually been helpful and had good stocks whether it be fish or plants but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those pesky non-aquatics :shifty:

Hmm, pulled my Vallis out tonight to chuck into my "propogating tank" and saw that it has infact been sending out runners BUT isn't going up!

Ive went from 5 plants to around 15 or so but they are ranging from 2" to 5" with the occasional (1 or 2) long leaf at around 10"

Ive chopped off all the dead stuff, snipped the runners into individual plantlets and replanted it in the front of my tank where it should get a lot of light and hoping it will grow.

If not I have a few Heteranthera Zosterifolia on the way which should take off in my tank and fill it out quite nicely.

Either way SOMETHING should be growing nice, tall and dense in my tank very soon
