Why Do People Buy Fish And Do This? (pics)

Hello Everyone,
I know everyones Aquariums all go down to the owners personal taste
but we all have the same kinda guild lines. Keep the fish healthy and happy!
So why do certain people go out of there way to create a Aquarium thats just
plain and simple bad planning for the fish?
Heres a picture I found on a forum and when I saw this I just thought
"Oh god them poor fish"

Now when I saw this my first thought was it has to be a childs, But no it's actualy
done by a grown women.....
Now I'm gonna point out the simple facts here
1) Far too colourful for the fish... and anyone without sun glasses
2) The Neons need a Shoal not a partner
3) Size! Clearly not thought through when it was made although they cant all be seen theres now alteast 20 fish in that tank!
4) Plants/Orniments/Hiding places for fish theres nothing for them at all...

I wish people would think these things through.
If you can't afford a bigger tank JUST WAIT!

It is a bit colourful!!!! Esp if it's been done by an adult for an adult!!! Would the colours actually bother the fish though, i mean, can fish see in full colour!!! Don't get me wrong, i don't like it at all, esp Nemo at the back!!!

lol yea nemo is scary,
I dunno but the women complained her fish were always hiding, Fish tend to like the Natural effect more, And yes it was done by a adult for a adult lol
I personaly like the toned down effect, Plants/rocks etc.

do you know what is really annoying?people with over inflated egos that think that their opinions is gospel and all that matters.Why should it bother you if she has a giant nemo on the back of her tank?personally I dont like it either but its her tank,not yours mine or anyone elsesgive the poor girl a chance and please dont use our forum to demean other members or peoples tanks

Yeah i agree vix and i dont think the coulour or the decor is in any way bad for the fish. Water looks good and the tank is well cared for and 20 neons in a 10g not the worst in the world.

It's their tank, they put decor in it how they want. The fish have cover so there is no problem with it, though it may not look good in your eyes and other peoples, each to their own.

ahh not quit my taste but it will be brill for a kid, lots to catch the childs eye, untill the fishes begin to work their magic. maybe leedsbio86 should apply to mr blair for a job in the government. seem to share the "dont like what you do so i will stop it" attitude
i always though these forums were used to give help!!!!!! surely a blog is a better place to crusade, however ill informed.

still come to think about it arent all of us who reply guilt of the same sin as bio86? perhaps the best way to deal with it would have been to ignore the post!!!!!!!!!! or at least not reply

I don't feel guilt and will not put myself in the same class as him, i would never pinch someone elses photo and take the mickey. What if that poor woman comes on this forum and sees that he has done this? what a lovely welcome that would be.

yeah the whole 'colours too bright for the fish' thing... how do you know........ have you or anyone else for that matter actually been able to see what a fish see's, a lot of animals actually have eyes very different to ours and view things differently. Chances are they couldn't care less, they have a bit of cover in the plants and I've seen a hell of a lot worse stocking than that many times, not like neon's are agressive fish or high waste producing so I think it's probably OK.

yeah i wouldn't have it as my tank but if I had a kid and they wanted a nemo tank, I'd happily let them have one like that.

as vix said - each to their own - some people prefer a more colourful tank. I do not see anything awful about it - so why start a thread just to be a meanie? This was a pointless thread that just shows whats a**es people can be. Im not trying to be harsh or flame or something but this really wasn't a nice thread to start and look at the responses...
