Why Didnt I Add Corys Ages Ago!

Well Like you guys have said in various places around the forum, Corys are awesome!

I added 8 to my 50 gallon 2 days ago and wow! they got all my fish acting goofy. they are just so lively and "wiggley" as my daughter calls them, they are making all my fish curious as to whats so exciting. even my harlequins are staying near the bottom to see what all the excitment is about. the platty fry are just following them around, trying to eat any food they miss. its hilarious. and they definately are all over the tank, not just on the bottom. but im assuming they will settle in some and relax.

all in all, very happy with my new purchase.

Corys are amazing fish. They are always active and just look great keeping the bottom of the tank busy. Once you have them you can't live without them, so well done on finally getting some what type of cory you get?

like little puppies! thats great!

yeah i wanted to go for 6 albino's but ended up with 3 albino, 3 bronze. and then there was a peppered by himself in a tank and i felt for him. once we scooped him out, found 1 other peppered in with the bronzes, so got him too.

so 3 albino
3 bronze
2 peppered.

so far the peppers are the least seen, followed by the bronze, and then the albinos are just swimming like little maniacs all over

Nice, everyone seems to say that you should keep mini shoals of corys. But to be fair they are just as happy so long as there are other corys around even if they aren't of the same species. I got the last black venezuela cory from my lfs (I love him so much ). He's been kept with pandas, leopards and a few other types and has got along just fine. Saying that I only have 1 panda left now but he follows around 1 of the other corys all the time which is quite fun to watch.

I have 60+ corys plus babies are they are hilarious to watch at the best of times,but even more so on bloodworm days

I just got two cory's tonight and i am happy

I just got 4 pandas to go with the 2 I rescued. They are still settling in, but I can't wait to see them all tomorrow. The whole tank has livened up since I added the extra cories and the extra harlequins. They are actually spending the majority of the time in the open now, and they aren't going into hiding every time I come near the tank. I can only imagine what they will act like once they are fully settled in.
