Why can't anyone type the word Pleco?

It's actually forum etiquite(SP?) on Planetcatfish. It helps reduce the search size when the topic is not pleco related.

Like if we at TFF said B@TTA instead of betta this thread would not come up in a search since it's not b@tta related.

It has nothing to do with names, I name all my fish and they all live, even Frenchy the pl@co.

....? why the large typing?
Giving names to fish is related to this topic as it follows the path of supersticions.

No your not alone, Tokis Phoenix, I can tell all of mine apart, Winkin, Blinkin, Nod, Flash, Zippy and Chippy are all properly identifyed...I need to get a life.

haha i like the neon names. i cant tell them apart unless there is a big difference in size

yeah, i know i lack naming skills. But I wanted them to be called SOMETHING.

 Poor thing sounds more like a phobia to me.

Funny, I have typed pleco many times before....and I still have mine! But does this mean that now that I've become aware of the superstition that it will come true if I don't write pl*co? Kind of like cartoons walking on air until they realize there is no more land....and THEN they fall?

That's exactly what I thought when I first found out. So instead I usually call them my L cats :p

quality names even if u have no life
My kids name most of our fish.
The only two I named were my Blue Rams. The female is Daisy and the male is Duke.

I got a speeding ticket on the way home from the LFS after I bought them. I thought Bonnie and Clyde at first but I know people that have done that. I was going to go with Luke but I had an ex boyfriend, hubby didn't seem to like that, and well Bo just didn't sound right so thus our names.
We have 2 apistos named after the Seal Lions at the Aquarium, and coolie loach named for my in laws. One loach has a marking that looks like a nose. My son says " That looks like a nose grandpa says grandma has a big nose lets call it LuAnn Loach." What can a mom do but go with it. Oh and hide her smirk behind her hand.

See sometimes giving fish names is fun
