Who created this place?

William created this forum back in 2002. He sold it a while ago then it was sold again to the current owners.

This is the first ever public post in the forum - there were a couple before this but they can only be seen in the staff area.

Did my first tests today

I have amonia reading 0.25ppm on my tank. I am cycling with fish, 6 platies and my tank is 36"X12"X15" . It is the second day since i put the fish in William i hope it is :thumbs:

Edit - a bit of searching found William sold the site in 2012, though I don't know when the current owners acquired it.

An interesting addendum: I strongly suspect that this William is the same William who founded (and later abandoned) The Aquatic Community, the forum that @Boundava mentioned. That would mean that he sold this forum so he could go off and start a rival one! The AC was a great forum for a long time, but it is completely gone. The main AC home page still exists, but the forums are gone for good. Several semi-regular members here, including myself, are refugees from AC.

I was on that one too. So many forums have gone and gone... some leave shells, others empty out like AC seems to have. It's funny, other than an old Canadian one, I've never gone back to take a look at any of them.

I wonder how many people used different user names than here? I know I wasn't this name there, as I was living a secret life.

I was Navigator Black on a lot of old forums. Maybe that one.

Don't remember ever seeing that one. But it was a long time ago.
