White Gunk On Fx5 Rubber Connections

i keep getting a build up of white gunk on my fx5 rubber connectors that join the intake and output pipes. does anyone else get it?
i can wipe it clean and within 5 days its back and looks nasty

I get the same thing. I actually just used my garden house to clean out all three of my filters. I believe its bacteria or decaying material building up. No hate mail please...I live in the country side and have a well so no chlorine for me. All three of my filters are running like new.

I always just assumed its a form of limescale gathering around the surface of the water but yeah I get it all the time as well I dont get why they are grey? They should be black.....
