Hello,
Sorry for starting two threads is somewhat quick succession; this will be my last one. I just completed a move during which my 29 gallon glass tank was jostled quite a bit while filled with water to about 5% of maximum capacity. Additionally, I was very stupid and, after filling the tank to about 80% capacity, I decided to shift its position by a few inches, which I (mindlessly) accomplished by tugging on two of the sides. I later noticed that all four bottom corners of the tank have a white discoloration in the sealant (picture attached). I don't remember if they were like that previously. Is this normal or is the tank damaged?
If it does turn out to be damaged, does anyone have any recommendations for extracting a 6" pleco from the tank? Last time I tried was about 2 years ago when moving to my previous apartment. He was not happy, splashed over everything, got tangled in the net I tried to catch him in, and then jumped out of the Tupperware I trapped him in and onto the floor. Is there a better way to do it?
Thanks a lot for advice,
Dan
