I was wondering if anyone has successfully bred white clouds? Because i have 4 and one of them is really plump and she nudges against the males i think for attention and then he flashes her find at them. Rnt the males suppsed to do that to the female? I dont know what it means

I've never bred them before but, I have heard that there is a low success rate in the main tank because when she drops the eggs the other fish go and eat them

Hi there, mine breed all the time, but constantly eat all their own eggs, white clouds are quite predatory of anything small (as you'll no doubt have seen) and can't resist them, they even find all of them in the moss...

I think, if you really want to breed them, you need a setup either with plenty of spawning mops, keep a close eye on the parents and remove them as soon as the eggs are shed.

I will be buying java moss and plenty of it for the tank cause iknow they want to breed they just dont know where to. The internet says they dont eat ther own eggs but it cud be different for all of them. But why is my female doing wat she does??

Hmmm they are definite egg eaters... I'm not sure, I've just had a quick look and agree the internet does say in general they are safe! Mine must just be hungry i guess ;p

They are quite interactive fish, so could be doing if for any reason.. but good to document it!
