White Algae Problem

does anyone know what white algea is or what else this could be?

Pretty sure (not 100%, about 80%) that theres no such thing as white algea... Describe the symptoms of the tank, because if it's just a large cloud of white in the tank, then it could just be the bacteria colonizing within your water, which is a good thing...

Alternatively, long white cobwebby looking filaments are probably a kind of fungus.
(Incidentally, if this is the case, a lot of things love to eat it).
