which to tank to get

at the moment i have 2 tanks one is a fresh water and one is a slat water, the tanks are both small in size, i really want to get 2 dwarf lions, i saw them in a friends tank and they look awsome, if anyone would like to tell me what size would be most suitable for the 2 and some other fish as well and maybe a eel that would be great, would i still need to get a proteon skimmer if i dont put alot of corals in with the dwarfs?

Lionfish and eels are very high in giving out waste materials so i would say that a skimmer is very imnportant for these types of fish regardless of corals.

You mention you have a small tank but this doesnt go into enough detail really. I mean i have a 220 gallon system and i consider my old 100 gallon system as small now (although i didnt at the time ).

If you can tell us how many gallons you have then we can give you a better in sight to the numbers of fish and their needs
