some of the hyphessobrycon species of tetras are suited to going with tiger barbs, i kept serpae's with tiger barbs with little to no agression.

This is amazing ... Setup B was winning making Setup A almost non-existant ... Then Setup A clearly voted for over Setup B in some crazy ratio and now Setup B is almost tied with Setup A again.

Polls are crazy ... You just can't predict what people will go for.

I would go with setup A, but instead of neons add more tiger barbs. :)

Dam the neons got to go ... they look good mixed with bigger fish ... OK

I am now thinking

7 tiger barbs
1 red tail shark
2 Albino Kribensis

Would this work?

I know don't know much about kribs, so I dont know how it would work with a red tailed shark, but you could have more fish than that. :)

I picked A. I'm a tiger barb lover. I've got 20 my self and there a ton of fun to watch. Good Luck on whatever you chose.

As far as the kribs, I know very little about them, but aren't they bottom fish? And don't they like to hid in caves? Never the less my suggestion is to get the Kribs first and let them establish them selves then get the shark. Make the shark tunnel as far away from the kribs as possible to reduce the agression.

Good Luck in whatever you choose

Tiger Lotus :)

I would also bump up the barbs school if that is the only fish you are going to have on top. 10 or so.

Like what?

Give me some pretend setups from the list of fish in the poll.

I don't know how far I could take this really.

I really don't want to mess with the babies so I would like just a peacful somewhat active but not overly active community tank

why not take the 30 and 25 gallon out of your sig? just an idea.

have you thought about any oddballs? Not the ordinary fish?

You know I really wanted an Oddball ... Thing is I have a Piranha and well pretty much limited that tank to Piranha or maybe a pleco ... So I was really liking the idea of a tank with all kinds of fish in it.

I wanted an oscar but ..... I know a 50 Would not support the fish.

Macrognathus siamensis(aculeatus), Peacock spiney eel; The smallest of the commonly seen spiney eels, this species will only reach a captive size of around 10 inches and is suitable for communities in tanks over 30 gallons with tankmates over 2".
