Which Scape

I cant decide on what scape for my 30G so ive tried a few different ones and just looking for advice on which one and what else i could add/take away because theres just something not right about them to me
This is the first one


This is the second: i really like the mangrove look to it but its to empty in the middle



The thrid: this looks better but im still not keen on the middle section



The fourth: same as the last one really but just differnt bits of wood arranged different

Yeah thats what ive been thinking but then i dont want to pack to much in because there still needs to be enough swimming room for the Angels.

Looking good either way you have a good mix of wood types why not start with the big chunky mopani stuff at the bottom like a large piece each side and then put the branchy pieces over each side as well.

Open space in the middle is not such a bad thing though lots of swimming space and space between territories?

Love the Dorsiger btw they look huge!!

To be honest I like the all. The first one I like most but I think they would all look so much better with plants.

Ill give it a go in the morning although im quite liking the look of just 1 big pile of the branches in the middle with bigger pieces of bogwood each side. i might go have another looking in the forest tomorrow aswell see what i can pull out. So far it seems to be breaking up the territorys quite well, im fairly sure i have 3 males 3 females and they all have there own space. The biggest has the cave on the right then theres one in the middle of all the branches and the other in the pieces of bogwood on the left. There looking washed out in the picture but the biggest male looks stunning when settled, he goes a darker yellow with patches of brown and a bright red throat.

I would add plants but between the Hoplos and Banjos any plants would just be uprooted. Im thinking of trying some floating plants like Amazon frogbit though.

Have you trieed "wig-wam" back left (with gap around back and side for fish to get round), big bit of bogwood angled like #3 but in middle with stones towards the front heading vaguely front left, small bogwood on right mid to background?

Ah I see. I haven't kept those before so I was unaware of them wrecking the plants.

They wouldnt wreck them but i think i would have to constantly replant them. Banjos like to bury themselfs in the sand so sounds be likely to knock them and Hoplos are like a bigger more boisterous version of Corys so would be quite likely to pull them out when rooting around for food.
