Internal filters should suffice in small aquariums. Try to get the one with biological filtration, which nitrifying bacteria can live on. This speeds up the conversion of Ammonia to Nitrites, then ultimately to Nitrates which plants feed on. I would suggest getting a Fluval U1. But it's up to you! I'm planning to get a Fluval U2 for my aquarium, since I have an Elite Singray 15, which is quite bold-looking !

Yes, Internal Filters will do in your 10 U.S gallon aquarium. (US or UK? ... UK gallon is more than US). Preferably, you should get the filter that does the job for 20 gallons since yours is 10. Of course, you can do 5-15 if you are bothered a bit by the extra cost. 20 gallon filters will allow you to have a wee bit more fish since your filter's better. I don't know much about other filters, but Fluval U Series will have water flow adjustment, bubbles, you can change the angle of the flow, and they have biological filters too!

Us gallons and I think I will get the 5 to 15 since walmart is the only place I know were internal filters are and I don't want the flow to be to strong

I think that would be fine, just dont get the 5 gallon! You want at the minimum of a 10 gallon filter for you. If you can get higher the better but do not go lower.

okay do you know how much flow the tetra internal filters are i would get the 10 to 20 gallon but i dont know if its to much flow for the betta or does anyone know a way to stop it from coming out so hard

The betta will be fine with that filter flow. When you add him in and you don't think he is happy with the flow you could always get a pre-filter sponge. That's what I did and it works great.

also eheim liberty hob filters free up some more space in the tank
