Every time a new leaf buds from my anubia coffeefolia, it gets eaten by one of the fish (no snails!). Which fish could be the guilty one? I am having corydoras paleatus, albinos and agasizis, ciclidos kribensis, panchax golden wonder, F. gardneris, red eye tetras, pearl gouramis, neons, a sinodontis and a dwarf gourami, also otocinclus but I don't think that is the one as he is too busy eating algae.

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem, although I don't have any of the fish you have apart from otos and I highly doubt it's them.

I used to have an opaline Gourami, and I noticed as soon as he passed away (he was 15 yrs old!) my Anubias took over the tank (gradually) - so maybe it's your Gouramis - although i never saw mine actually ever eat the Anubias - maybe it's once the lights go out so you don't know it's him!

My Syno eats my A.coffefolia - I've watched him do it. Sometimes he just spit sit back out, but the damage is done. Id say the syno is the culprit.

Mmm, so several possibilities! The problem is that I hardly ever see the syno. He is hiding in a big piece of wood and only once in a while I see his tail moving, so I know he is still alive.

Thanks for all the replies. I will isolate the possible culprits for a while to find out which one needs to be rehomed.
