Which Do You Like Better?

I would go with the oscar but would make sure the tank is a 75 gallon wide and not long style. This would give him more turning room and make sure he is comfortable into older age. But ideally I would keep him in a 100G or bigger with a couple other fish

EDIT: O....P.S. I don't like tetras or angels, so I might do those other communities if you take those out

If I did get the oscar, what could I stock with it? Would a common pleco be okay? If not what type of pleco and what other fish?

Not a common plec, as they get too large, even for your tank. If you had very good filteration, i think you could get away with something small....Maybe an eel, but thatd be abit of a push...A convict or firemouth MIGHT work...Why not ask in the new world cichlid section?

Well peacocks are the only ones suitable for that size tank, but i dont know if you'd be able to have any tankmantes... Ask in the NW cichlids section, theyll know much more..

Number 2 seems to be winning.

But... I am starting to like the oscar idea even more than that one! Actually #2 is my least favorite!

deffientely oscar, comunity tanks are SOOOOO boring. i guess i find the bgi agressive type fish more interesting than the more flamboyant tetras and such, even though the angelfish one did appeal to me. one problem there though, the elephant nose wouldnt be able to compete for food with the angel so it would die.

Wow 25 out of 38! #2 sure is popular! But I kind of like the oscar idea better. But if I did do #2 I would just have my empty 29 as a angel and ram tank. So I could still have angels and rams but no oscar.

Hmmmm so far it's number two in the lead and oscar last.
