Reading the many recent topics about clove oil euthinasia,
I have seen a lot of people saying that they cannot find it
locally to them. Here are some on-line sites that sell clove oil.
They may not be the cheapest, just the first I've found doing a quick search.

UK
USA
Australia
Canada

In the UK:

the only place I can source clove oil is in small independent chemists (not places like boots)

the clove oil is either in the tooth care section, or with other small bottles of natural remedies such as tea tree oil etc.

I buy 10ml bottles for £1.09 in my local chemists. it is made by care+ and is labelled 'clove oil bp. for the temporary relief of toothaches.'

edit: not an online site to buy it sorry, buy useful to know nonetheless....

I've just added Canada

I bought a bottle of clove oil from my local chemist, It cost £1.28 for 10 mls :)

I found mine in an aromatherapy gift box I was bought last birthday from Boots.

So as well as in with the toothache stuff, might be in the aromatherapy sections of stores too.

Couldn't you just use club soda to euthanize the fish?

I read in a book that you put the fish in club soda and then put it in the freezer. The club soda's supposed to act as a anesthetic, so the fish doesn't feel the freezing.
