Where To Get Silver Disc Tetras

Hi all,

For the past two years, I have been trying with no luck to locate some silver disc tetras. I've tried asking all the local fish stores if they could order them. I've tried locating them online. Most places don't even respond to my emails.

I would love to find a mail-order fish dealer in the US who could supply me with some. I have one lone disc tetra and he needs some friends.

They sell them at Petsmart. Possibly Petco and the LFS.
*Most petsmarts should have them...

I actually bought it at PetSmart. They had no idea what it was. They insisted it was a glass catfish because it was in the tank with the other glass catfish. (This was the manager who told me this) I tried to reason with him that it didn't look like the others at all, but he insisted that is what it was. Again, this was the manager. The helper was even more clueless. I asked if they could order more of them, since there was only one, and they said they could not. Then, when I bought it, the helper asked how many I wanted, so I said "two." He looked at me with a confused look and said, "but we only have the one."

PetSmart, what an oxymoron.

I keep going back there specifically looking to see if they get any more, but they never have.
