Where To Buy Plants Online

Wheres the best place to buy plants online. I've checked eBay but not sure if any of the sellers are any good. Online is my only option as my local stores hardly have anything plus they are wayyyy overpriced.

If anyone buys of eBay could you please recommend a seller in the UK.

I'm after java fern, giant vallis and maybe some amazon sword

There are 'budget' sellers such as Plants Alive or Java if you have a lower budget, but I've heard it can take over a week for the plants to come and I've read bad reviews.

Shops such as TGM (The Green Machine), AE (Aqua Essentials) or the Planted Tank might sell plants for more than other stores, but I've read that their plants are worth the higher price tag.

Pets at Home tend to have offers like 3 for £5 (which is pretty good), but in my experience they are often covered in algae and it's often hard to see the labels on them. I've noticed several plants that aren't fully aquatic there too.

'last-trading-post' on ebay. He does all sorts of fish-related stuff but when he sells plants they are excellent, long-rooted, unblemished and the only delay to delivery is the Royal Mail itself. I've bought from him four or five times.

Aren't several of the ones he's listing non-aquatic plants?

The issue with buying bulk is that I only want java fern, vallis and some amazon swords. I imagine the bulk buys would be a mixture

Yeah I have bought from him before, pretty good, but for specific plants its no good. He does sell other lots that are just 1 plant, but nothing special if your wanting a specific scape.

Ltp, plants alive and java are good for large bundles of mixed plants to get you started or fill in space but they're no good for specific plants.

Planted tanks, the green machine or aqua essentials are some places to look for individual plants - see which of them has the plants you want at a price you like and go from there

I bought one of them but you will get some oddities that look strange.
