I'm in colorful Colorado. By colorful, they mean brown. Being relatively smack dab in the middle of the country means innovations/trends/fads and fresh sea food are slow to get here, so we're a little behind. But it is FAR from boring here. Why, within 30 seconds of getting on my bike, at least 3 cagers will have attempted to kill me. And if I do make it to the mountains, far enough away from people to actually relax, then I risk getting mauled by mountain lions or moose. Or eaten by a bear. Get far enough off the beaten trail and mountain goats become a real issue. Majestic? Sure. You can enjoy them in flight after they've butted you off a cliff.
The city proper (Denver) is great too when it comes to pure excitement. Going downtown after dark......Ha! Who am I kidding? It's the same during the day! Let's just say there's never a dull moment! Between the bums, druggies, and gangs you'll develop a heightened sense of self-preservation....and nope, people here don't look at you funny if you're glancing over your shoulders every 3 seconds! Gotta keep on your toes!
And stay well-armed.
