Where Has It Gone?

yesterday i bought 2 zebra loaches. Now, within a couple of hours one had gone missing. This morning, i have pulled the tank apart (taking out all rocks and wood) in the hope of finding him but i just cant!
the other loach is swimming around fine and looking like nothing is bothering him so where could the second one have gone?

Check behind the filter, also check that he has not jumped out.

Do they bury themselves int he gravel/sand ?

the filter is the juwel box so they acnt get behind there. They are about 1-1.5cm thick so they cant get through any gril lholes in the filter. All of the exits out of the tank if the fish decided to jump are blocked so that cant really happen...
i know khuli loaches like to dig but im not so sure about these type. If one has dug, wouldnt the other though?

at first i thought your idea wasnt that great and he couldnt have got into the filter, but, guess what, he had!!

after a long an tedious amount of time with the loach swimming into the juwel heater compartments (about 3cm squared in size and there is 2 collected by a massive sump holder in the middle) i got him into the main compartment and then it swam back into those compartments again as my net was too big

i then got a plastic algae scrub and pushed it out (the algae scrub on the bottom and the loach at the top) and it then got mushed out of thw pump hole and into the tank where it is appily swimming around with its friend, i now know this fish is like the equivelant to the firefish of the marine world

i love them!!!

im going to ask my dad to take me to the fish shop so i can but another 4

LOL it once happened to me i never thought it will just up to the filter. After several hour i found her and cach lol.

mine spent all night in a filter, im actually suprised that it is alive.

AS long it has water and can breathe it is fine to it.
