I'm setting up a new tetra tank, and i've got some Sera peat granules to go in my new ehein 2223. This has a gap at the bottom, a basket of macaroni shaped stuff, a filter pad, a basket of round pea shaped stuff and some filter wool. To get all the peat in I'd need to take out about half of one of the baskets.

Is there a best place to put it, does it matter whether I take out the macaroni or the peas?? :)rofl: that's me being technical!!) Or should i put in in the gap at the bottom or will this inhibit flow?

The peat is specifically designed for aquarium filters, and is in a little sock like bag - unforuntuately no instructions!

thanks guys!!

Place the peat bag in the gap at the bottom. The macaroni (ceramic tubes) are the mechanical filtration which stop larger particals from reaching the peas (eheim substrat pro) which is a hi tech biological media.
