No bettas don't realy need filteration, and many people go with this reason not to get a filter, which I peronally think is a bad idea. If you have a filter you can cut down on water canges, IE: from daily to weekly (depening on whats in the tank with them).

yes, but he agreed with you which is why i was confused.

i'm not trying to have a fight. i wanted something clarified, which you did. strotum was just as upset at thinking people wouldnt filter the poor betta, which is where i got lost as you said you hate people saying it.... he agreed with you but also thought i said filtration isnt needed which is why i thought you were upset at me...i think is what i mean?
