air pump isnt a good idea in a betta tank IMO. mine both got thrown around like nobodies business
i would still say ebay, and i had a look at the tank in question, it looks ok to me.
P@H are doing "kids" tanks under £20 atm, they may be worthlooking at
whats the MAXIMUM you can do on a tank? as there is a guy local to me selling a rio 180 for £70. but no heater or filter though
How much would a filter + Heater Cost? + Does it include the stand?
Could be intrested.
Just need to nag mom to let me upgrade

+ depends how much crimbo money i get
includes stand.
pump can be gotten cheaply if you know where to look. ex700 i managed to get for £20 delivered but no media, yet i got an ex1200 for £30 collected WITH media.
but if you have it as a community tank you could have an internal fluval which i think are really good.
heater, dunno. i had to pay £18 from a shop

Air pump isnt any good? Well how the hell are you to use a sponge filter then? plus you can buy valves to add in the air line to reduces the flow of the air, so reduces the water flow.
Haych, I think you have got mixed up some on sponge filters.
he didnt say sponge filter, just air pump.
on my betta tank i use a tetratec ex1200 with spray bar, if not i was going to use a fluval with added spray bar, so no need for air pump.
i personally dont like sponge filters.
