When I say, I always mean US gallons, ever since I've been a member, I can't really remember using UK gallons. US always makes my tank sound bigger anyway, I'm nearer 100g that way lol.

i normally use uk gallons but always state this (i also normally work it out in litres also to give people a rough idea)

reason i use uk gallons is because of the koi pond. i very really see a koi pond measured in litres its normally measuerd in uk gallons .

I know that I can easily state US or UK, but I'm not talking for about what I put down. You'd hope I know whether I mean UK or US gallons...lol. What I meant was is there a consensus as to which one should be used. To avoid confusion.

I'm sure you know what you mean when you type gallons  , what I meant was there's no right answer and just state UK or US to avoid confusion.

I live in the US why would I use UK gallons. It depends on where you live. I always figure the UK people use litters. And us Americans use "usa" Gal.

What the hell is a UK gallon? I thought y'all just used liters.

UK or imperial gallon is used/was used worldwide, the only place the us gallon is used is the us.......

besides why would you want to use baby gallons rather than the full size article?
