What's Wrong With My Betta?

I noticed today my betta is not himself. So I tested the water and nitrite and ammonia are at 0, and I haven't done any other testing yet. He sits at the bottom in awkward positions and I saw him sitting right beside the filter input like he was being sucked in. Lately he hasn't been eating also. His body appears fine and nothing odd with it. Any possible problems?

Oh, and he's living in a filtered 10 gallon tank by himself.

I think the back part of his fin, like the very back is shredded a bit. Anything to heal that? Will melafix work on bettas? it's all I have.

Wow, after reading this I've realized all I've fed my betta since I got him is bloodworms. It must be constipation. Will bettas eat algae pellets?

poor thing melafix does work but use half the dose. You can get some specific betta food, are you in the uk? If hes constipated fast him and give him some cooked shelled peas.

I'm in Canada. Going to Vancouver soon so I might be able to pick up some betta food there. And I'll try the peas.

What is the temp of you tank? If it's too cold his metabolism will be slowed and digestion will be poor too which can lead to constipation.
