Whats The Best Plant Food?

It depends on what is available to you. If you put your plants in pots then you can use normal garden fertiliser in the pots. Have some gravel, then a bit of fertiliser, then a thin layer of laterite (red clay), then some more gravel and put the plant in that. As the roots grow into the nutrients the plants will take off and do really well.
You can make up or buy laterite balls. These are small (10mm diameter) red clay balls that are pushed into the gravel around the base of plants.
Some liquid plant fertilisers are pretty good. I like Sera Florena but there are other brands that do a similar job.

You also need light. Without light the fertilisers won't make any difference. And if you have really bright light and lots of fertiliser then you can add carbon dioxide (CO2). However, it's not that necessary unless the tank is completely full of plants and doesn't have many fish. There is plenty of CO2 in the water from the filter bacteria and in the air that will get into the water.
