What's It Like In The Bedroom..?

Hey guys,
I'm in the market for a new set up, but it'll have to go in my bedroom as there's no spare room in the flat...
Have any of you had problems with noise doing this? I'm a little hard of hearing which may help haha!
If it make any difference, a possible purchase would be the Juwel 200l unit.

I got a 90L next to my bed, so close to the pillow touches the glass & that is fine.
Although i've slept downstairs a few times next to my 55g and that makes some heck of a noise, even alcohol doesnt help sometimes

I'd say im slightly deaf too from about 7 year of ear abuse from DJing in clubs ect.
Kinda guess it's all down to the filter really.

You'd get used to the sound of the filter in the same way you get used to the sound of a clock ticking or cars driving past if your live on a main road.

I had a Arc next to my bed when I lived at my mum and dads and I never heard a thing. (But I do sleep with a fan on 90% of the time )

Depending on the filter I guess to noise.

I sleep less than 6 inches away from my 4ft 300L Community , and i have really good ears, if you have aeration in the tank make sure you go for models like the Boyu S-2000A which not only have a dual injection but have a flow control to quieten down the bubbling at night if it bothers you but after a while it isn't really noticed. The only other noise aspect from the tank would be the filter, i run an Aquis 1200 from Aqua one (temporarily) in the process of ordering a 2 filter systems which can be linked to an RO System. Internal is generally Quiter but less beneficial obviously ( most juwel aquariums now come with a built in internal I think) I would recommend the Ehiem Filter range which i use in my fish room, a room full of filters is potentialy an incredibly noisy affair but i have run 6 Eheims on a multi tank RO Cycle System and only a slight buzzing can be heard, Aqua One are also good only a very faint buzzing can be heard when in a cabinet.

Don't know how you do it! I love my fish, think they are beautiful and fantastic! But to wake up with a pleco sucking the glass or a severum looking at u as soon as you open your eyes every morning... not sure i could take that

My tank is just a bit higher than my bed but i kind of like that, my Wild Green Severum is always there when I wake up. But then again he is only 3" so...

Lol, I did have a plec that used to do that swimming in circles on the glass thing - that was annoying used to keep me awake but i dont have it anymore now it's kinda cute - normally when i wake up there's a few cory sitting next to the glass closest to me.

But if i'm sleeping downstairs next to the 55g it's normally an aggressive green terror flipping out lol

Lol yeah, i think when my Severums get bigger i will either move my bed or as I did want to last year utilize the spare wall of my fish room and built a 900L Freshwater Specialist The only fish that I wouldn't want to wake up next to would be my Madagascan Reed Fish. lol

My son sleeps with an eight inch oscar looming over him; sometimes wakes him up by spitting gravel at him, lol! I have a 220l peaceful community at the end of my bed with an 2000lph APS filter, and it does make a low hum, but nothing that would keep anyone except the massivley senstive awake.

There's very few things nicer in this world than sitting in bed with good book and a mug of cocoa and a few beautiful fish to look at
