What Would You Do ?

i have 2 tanks i want to stock/restock

1, 5 gal hex tank
2, 15 gal normal shape

fish atm are
1 x betta
4 x preacox rainbox
1 x baby bn plec
1 x assain snail (in 5 gal)
?? x mts (in the 15gal)
and what ever random snails appear from time to time (in 15gal)

ideas
betta in 5gal tank with 1 other smallish fish
+
5 x neon terta, 5 x glowlight terta, my rainbows and plec ?

more rainbows with plec and betta
+
spare hospital tank with an assassin snail in it lol
or how would you stock the two

i would do
1 betta(already got)
1 dwarf gourami
8 neons
8 glowlights
4 corydoras
4 rainbows(already got)
1 plec(already got)

this should be fine with live plants

I disagree with gourami123 thats too many fish in there and also bettas and DGs often go wrong...... so I would probs do

5g -
1 x Betta
5 x Cherry shrimp, or ghost or similar small species - you should get a nice colony with them the 5g with a betta is too small for any more fish.

15g -
1 x small feature fish like a bolivian ram or honey gourami
5 x Neon Tetra
5 x Dwarf Neon Rainbows - Although I would probs just up the numbers of your dwarf neon rainbows to 8 or so, you will get a better school in bigger numbers.
1 x Baby Bn Plec
1 x Assassin Snail

Then with the rest of the snails just do with them what you see fit, spread them between the two tanks or just get rid of them when you catch them.

could i not have 1 cory in with the betta?
if not
would it be ok to use the betta as the feature fish with neons in there?
as 1 tank would be easier to run tbh

a single cory isnt a good idea, they need to be in groups of 5+ to get the best from them and for them to feel secure.

im not sure if you would get away with a small group of pygmy corys in there a ive never kept a betta but 5G isnt really that big....

i would do 1 x betta an as said above a nice group of shrimps and maybe a snail
