What Would To Put In A 2 G ( Uk) Tank

Triops :) I've got one at about 1cm at the moment, very cool to see them grow from bbs size to full size :) Easy to look after, easy to feed, make cute patterns in the sand...

Bettas are really the only fish who can live comfortably in a 2 gallon tank. This is because they have a unique combination of being very slow movers, able to take oxygen from the air, and happiest on their own. Most other fish would either succumb to the lack of oxygen in such a small amount of water or die from stress at not being able to move around.

You keep one male betta on its own (two would kill each other). It shouldn't be difficult to find one, they come in lots of different colours and betta keepers tend to get very attached to their pets.

If you don't like the betta, your other option is to go for non-fish, such as African dwarf frogs or shrimps or triops. Or, of course, to get a bigger tank (not smaller than 10 US gallons if you want a reasonable choice of fish).

This forum has a very good and lively betta section, so you can get lots of advice on a good setup.
