what was your very first fish purchase

First fish I ever bought? Guppies. Started with 4, wound up with oodles of them.
Did I research? No, went on the word of the guy at the lfs. Have researched since though.

My very first tank(or my familys) was a hexagonal tank filled with a 1 foot pleco called "bubba' which was about 30 years old(when he died) which was my uncle's college pet. A kissing groumi, and an oscar. (wierd set-up but the fish all got along and lived for 10+ years)

But MY own very first fish tank was a huge aquarium with like 300 guppies X endler's livebearer and 1 plecostomus. I was about 6 years old and I killed them all... i stuck a biscut from breakfest and decided the fish would like it. well the yeast totally wiped them out all exept a little jar full, i gave my sister th4e day earlier.

My boss bought the companies first fish. I believe we started out with 2 platys, 2 tetras, 2 columbian sharks, 2 swordtails. Most of them died

My first fish were tiger barbs. Too bad I didn't know about cycling or overfeeding, I thought it looked so cool when they went into a feeding frenzy. Maybe it's a good thing they ended up dying, I was going to put a bala shark in with them. That would've been 4 tiger barbs and a bala shark in 10 gallon.

I'm not sure, but my first fish was when I was 11 months old, (9 years ago) and I had got a cumunity tank.
