Sorry if this subject has been aired previously, but I cannot find exact information.
What fishes could go in the upper half of a 36" tank which has shell-dwellers (neolamprologus multifaciatus) living in shells on the sandy floor? I would like to put in a shoal of lampeyes, also very small, but would welcome some ideas of compatible companions. Many thanks.

I always kept Ameca splendens with my N similis - surface swiming, hard water loving, algae eaters that got too big to get in the shells after fry & eggs.

Thanks diademhill I will look them up now as I dont know what they look like.

I keep with my multifasciatus some Paracyprichromis nigripinnis. I'm actually looking to sell my pack of 6 so if you're interested, drop me a pm! :)

Thanks Fella I must confess that I have not yet got my shellies, just waiting... I have requested wild bred neolamprologus mutifaciatus but have been told that its the wrong season for them. Your fish look beautiful I wish I could do a deal.
