So I have this empty 18 gallon which wasnt used for a while.

so what fish would you suggest?

Can bolivian rams go in? Any cories?

or an L numbered pleco?

What are the dimensions of the tank, Derp?

Not sure about bolivian rams... they can be quite territorial so you may have aggression problems due to the tank being small. Perhaps a pair of one of the smaller apistos instead or a single keyhole depending on dimensions.
As for Plecos you could have Zebra, Clown, Goby or possibly bristlenose

Your title has me singing pirate songs..."Ohhhh...what shall we do with the 18 gallon, what shall we do with the 18 gallon..."

Anyway...as a total puffer lover I suggest a dwarf puffer as the main attraction (maybe two if you can be sure to get a male/female pair) and they get on with bottom dwellers just fine.

Its about 2 an a halfeet long and about 2 feet tall and a foot and a half wide

This can't be an 18G tank. Those dimensions equal a 53G volume.

Actually it would be about 65.5 gallons using the outside dimensions............

Bolivian rams are bad if it's an 18 and good if it's a 53/65.5 gallon.

@ tcamos - now you got that song stuck in my head.

Is it one of the old clearseal type 30 inchers? If so they hold about 90 litres.

sorry. That was just an estimate. cant reaaly tell. I dont have any measuring tape or anything then I used my hands and arms. sorry. :3
