i bought a male and a female kribensis yonks ago and since then, the male has flourished. they've laid eggs once and since then the male hasn't shown any interest towards the female at all.
she hasn't grown either. i thought for some reason her growth was stunted as her eyes still seemed to be growing... although i thought.
there are now 2 growths on her head and it seems to be coming from behind her eyes and sort of pushing them outwards. her eyes are no longer straight. the only way i can portray it is it seems her brain is trying to get out of her head through her eyes. here are some pictures;

on this side, the growth is causing her eye to be pushed downwards as though she's got dropeye (or whatever);

this one is a little dark but the pinkness around the bottom of the eye is the growth on this side and causes her eye to be pushed upwards. this side also has 2 tiny black spots on the growth;

here is a slightly clearer picture and you can see one of the black spots;

i've ruled out it being a fungus problem as it is not fury at all, however i may be wrong.
the growth doesn't seem to be causing any pain to the fish as she is eating and swimming around as normal and is still trying to please the male by doing the little vibrating thing they do to show their intentions of mating but the male just isn't interested at all anymore.
she has been rubbing the growths on the sand which i am worried may lead to some fungal infection.

im totally stumped on this one and i would really love it if someone could be able to come up with some sort of explaination,
thanks.
