Would like frontosa,
Would like an Oscar ot two
Would like Discus
Would like Angels

not together .

I am put of Frontosa as you have to have so many and they eat other fish
Oscars seem to have read are ugly and fight...... like it peaceful
Discus seem to do nothing and are very shy....my kids would be too noisy.
Angels look nice but I always see them diseased so think they must be difficult to keep.

So what will not eat other fish, be agressive, doesn't need others of its sort, is not shy timid to hide away, can take kids noise, is not difficult to keep
and please is real and living . Thanks

I have had Firemouths for 3 years. They are not the easiest cichlid to breed. They require high maintenance and lots of covering in the tank for the females to hide, as males are quite aggressive towards them.

Yes seems all Clichcids are territorial etc

what size tank and what are the other inhabitants?

That depends. 350-400 litres I imagine.

I could either rehome the gourami and Barbs and start again or keep them and add new others.

The gourami is golden and will not get too big and I the barbs I am least attached too and have a home for them if required.

At the moment I am putting feelers out as when I get new tank Clichids need a different setting etc fromn what i have at the moment and I think to keep what I have at the moment would be okay for a few years but they either will die or I will need assisitance to care for them and hubby does not like fish
