What Shall I Do?

I have a Roma 125 and have just had a re shuffle and a sort out

in this tank I have:

2 blue gouramis
2 gold gouramis
2 pearl gouramis
4 dwarf neon rainbows
2 odessa barbs
1 angel fish
1 female krib

ps I know the rainbows and barbs need a bigger group but otherwise?

everything is still really small right now except the blue gouramis which are nearing full size

what can I add? should I move anything? what can I doooooooooooooo

barbs should be kept in 5+ groups, and so should dwarf rainbows... but i would say that your tank is already pretty overstocked as it is...

If it were me I would swap it quite a bit lots of big fish for that size tank and I worry its going to get really cramped as everything bar the rainbows can reach 5 inches +. Im going to be honest and I think its pretty brutal but I would definitely get rid of the odessas as they need 6 and get pretty big for that size of tank. Then for the rest I would look at keeping a max of 4 of the big fish like the angel and gouramis could maybe do 4 but I would stick with 3. Personal preference would point me to do something like

1 Angel or Female Krib
2 Pearl Gourami
7 Dwarf Neon Rainbows

Then look to add some kind of catfish or loach, maybe upside down cats (S.Nigriventis) or Zebra or Chain Loaches or Cories?

I just really think you have too many medium sized fish in that tank. In the three foots I do think it should be 1 focal with 2 "support" focal + dither/target fish + bottom dwellers. But obviously there are so many ways you could twist that

Id like to remove the blue gouramis and eventually the gold ones but they're tiny right now, and prolly the odessas

the angel was given to me so Id like to keep that

what Id love is a shoal of something...

My tank is really really heavily planted so im worried id just lose corys lol I have 7 in the tank above so maybe something different? I do love the zebra loach =]

ps I dont know if it makes a difference but I will most likely be getting another filter an dte tank is a year old...

Sounds like a good plan I would say blues, golds and odesas are a priority to sort out soon. Zebra Loaches and a school would be cool If you dont want to keep the rainbows I bet some black ruby barbs would look cool in there

the rainbows wont reach 5" more like 2.5" max, i have had mine for 4 months and tey have stopped growing at 1.5 for the females and 2.5 for my male
