What Sand ?

Hi wanted to change my tanks substrate from gravel to sand, and was wondering which type of sand is best, cheapest and should take the least time for settling once changed. Is it worth paying extra for aquarium sand or just getting play sand ?

Argos playsand £2.99 a bag. If you give it a good wash before hand it should settle quickly.

play sand just wash it by half filling a bucket with sand putting water on stir leave to setter (about 30 secs) the pour water and any sand left floating off repeat until the sand settles in about 10 secs and the waters crystal clear. then its ready to put in your tank

I'm using play sand also.
I used an old pillow case to filter the sand. Worked great.
