What Rams Should I Get?

I want a pair of rams to go in my fluval 125 tank , I don't know if I should have a pair of bolivian rams or electric blue rams, which would be beter ones to get?

There are 9 harlaquin rasbora and 6 bronze cory in there, parameters are 0, 0 and 0.25. Temp is 24 and with argos play sand.

Of the two you mentioned, electric blues are the more sensitive. If you can provide the right conditions for them and stay on top of it, though, then it's personal preference.

I was leaning more towards the bolivians, but was just curious about the blus as I seen a pair in my lfs.

The existing inhabitants aren't really compatible parameter wise with Electric Blue Rams

Warmer water than normal, 27-28oC is best in my experience, soft acidic water too.

Yea go with the Bolivians, more natural strain than line bred equivalents and they will always be hardier.

Ok cheers, how will I tell the difference between male and female? so I can get a pair of them, hope fully they will pair up then.

Buying a male a female and hoping for a pair doesn't always work. I have a male and female and they tolerate each other but aren't a 'couple'. If you want a mated pair you'll need to buy 5-6 and wait for two to pair up naturally - then hopefully be able to return the rest.

Yea I knew I had to buy around 5, I did ask the guy about it in my lfs, but he was being funny about it and wouldn't say if hewould take them back or not, and as I didn't like his attitude I just left there, so I'm tryin other places to see if I can get them.

Yea in that case try somewhere else, you don't need that. Are you in South Wales?

If so, I can highly recommend The Big Blue in Caerphilly. The manager there is a fantastic expert on SA dwarf cichlids and will happily help you out.
