Also, there are tons of other reasons to do water changes, not just to lower the nitrate level. Yes, lowering the nitrate level is one of them, but there are many other good reasons to do a good size water change every week.

oh... umm i actually have a 4.8x turnover right now and when i get the other filter ill have a 7.6x turnover... i forgot my powerhead, which makes my plants move around so all of the leaf gets some light, which i heard is good

edit: maybe ill order another powerhead when i get the other filter, which would bring it up to aprox. 10x turnover
