What Plants Do Your Bettas Like?

I thought that Hygrophila polysperma was illegal, not Hygrophila difformis

I'm not sure about types of plants but you need some that reach the surface because bettas like to have something to rest on at night, so they don't have to keep swimming to the top during the night. I used to have a really bushy, almost fluffy looking plant which my betta loved to hide in.

I have a five gallon tank with an amazon sword plant, I'm going to add a java fern. Bettas like plants that they can swim through and explore but won't hurt or catch their fins. Since you have a large tank and lots of fish you should include lots of plants. I'm sure snails are fine if you like them, but you should quarantine them first to prevent diseases. Low light plants are good.

Ummm..... Mondo grass is non aquatic, I think that tail grass is too, but I'm not 100% sure
