What Plants Do I Put In My Tank

Hi all i have a juwel rio 125 stocked with 
1 sailfin plec 
8 neons
7 harlequins 
5 corys 
 
and i wanted to know what plants can i put in their and can someone please explain to me how a co2 diffuser works

 If you go to tropica.com they have tons of layouts you can try or take ideas from.
 Sorry, I have no clue about co2 diffusers/reactors.
