What One Of Your Fish Has Become A True Beauty?

My S. daemon pair :) Took a year to raise them from 2" to 8"+

yeah :hyper: you did a great job with those guys peathenste. thanks for shareing them.

I just cannot choose one singular fish out of all mine. but have narrowed it down to my Rotkeil pair, Bailey my Royal Acara, Vinney & Seymour the red spot and gold severum and last but not least Jethro my raggity old big sloppy cuddly plec who if I could lift out of the tank and cuddle and kiss I would

Well all mine are still juvis, so plenty of growing left to do, however my Green Terror female is absolutely stunning. I can never seem to capture her true deep metallics, as my DSLR is out of action so have to make do with a point and shoot.

When I first bought her October 2008 (the first five photos were taken with my DSLR, so better quality):

The last one is blurry, but it is another size comparison with the Ram, who she was far smaller than before :)

i would have to say all those pics of fish look amazing, i got to say in my tank would have to be my red spotted sev called fernando ( mrs named him after fernando torres) then second my new flowerhorn

out of the new boys i rekon my blue cobalt discus has real potential

Hi Peathenster, those fin extensions on your geos are fantastic, I never knew those extensions were even possible...

I just want to add some more variety of geo to my main tank.....but I don't have a big enough one :(

Thanks. They've been kept with wimpy tank mates and no fin nippers :)

Will the standard ones sold as 'Jurupari' Satanoperca leucosticta get those awesome fin extensions?, I have seen soem with lots of red on before.

I think the extensions are longer on S. daemon, S. acuticeps, and S. lilith. I'm growing out a group of S. acuticeps at the moment and they are already showing extensions at 4".

S. jurupari, S. leucosticta and S. mapiritensis not so much. Here are some pics of my group of adult S. leucosticta at 7-8". Sorry about the dirty glass
