i got this for free with my shrimp
what is this and how can i care for it, with no ferts or co2. in the lfs they had it floating in the ank with the shrimp

it is the stringy plant in the bottom left corner next to the single leaf of an amazon sword

Looks like Hornwort.

Looks more like an Egeria to me, najas perhaps? an easy plant to keep, commonly used in ponds.

The shrimp seem to love it
Yeah, it is some sort of Egeria. It doesn't need ferts or CO2 and is actually very good for the tank, one of the plants that produces a lot of oxygen and grows fast. You can leave it planted but it will do fine either way.
