I am not that expert in cichlids, but I would not consider this fish to be Apistogramma macmasteri. Primarily based upon the caudal fin. The caudal fin in the photo here shows extended filaments on the outer rays. The original description (Kullander, 1979) states the caudal is rounded, and a few subsequent authors have apparently suggested truncate or even subtruncate (Linke & Staeck, 1994). Also, the caudal is transparent according to the description. None of this is evident in these photos.
